"Patient Care is Number One!"
At Victor Valley Community Hospital we take great pride in the relationship we have established in our community as the community hospital that cares. The only non-profit community hospital in the High Desert, VVCH hosts a full calendar of community events that meet the needs of every age group. . Meeting our Mission, Vision and Values, VVCH provides health screening fairs; drive-thru flu shot clinics, and vital health information free of charge every year.
At the Annual Child Immunization Clinic in December 08, with the help of the High Desert Toddler Immunization Coalition, Victorville Rotary, San Bernardino County Public Health, and many community volunteers, over 50 High Desert children received much needed vaccines as well as updates on vaccines against flu and other childhood diseases.
The Annual Kids Care Fair in 2009 was attended by over 1,700 High Desert residents. The event takes place every July and provides free immunizations, physicals, and many other health screenings to children 2 month to 18 years.
The Annual Drive-thru Flu shot clinics were held in October. With help from the County of San Bernardino Health Dept., VVCH vaccinated just under 750 residents over the age of 18 in October 2009.
